Blast furnace tuyere is an important process component used in blast furnace for air supply and coal injection. Due to the scouring of pulverized coal injection, the life of blast furnace tuyere is sharply reduced. When the coal injection gun is out of position or the coal injection pipe is worn through, its service life is reduced from the normal 12 months to less than 3 months. With the increase of coal injection volume, the increase of blast furnace tuyere length and the maturity of furnace condition adjustment technology, the main failure form of blast furnace tuyere has gradually changed from melting loss and cracking to wear failure of tuyere cavity. Therefore, the improvement of the wear resistance of the inner wall of the tuyere has become the most important part of the tuyere improvement and optimization.
The ceramic casting blast furnace tuyere technology developed by our company combines the high temperature wear resistance of the ceramic material and the high thermal conductivity of copper. Considering that the working medium of the blast furnace tuyere has high temperature (1250C), high oxidation (oxygen rich 1~4%), and high abrasive wear performance, the cast ceramics are selected to oxidize and toughen high purity corundum ceramics. This combination of advantages greatly improves the wear resistance of the inner wall of the tuyere and improves the service life of the tuyere.
